“Have Dental Anxiety?!? Aquarius Dental, Dr Ma and his staff have you covered. I have the absolutely worst anxiety to the point I would just avoid the dentist. I was given options in which i chose conscious sedation. During my appointment Dr Ma was very attentive asking how I was doing, his assistant had put a nice fuzzy blanket on me and I was given clear instructions on how to prepare for my appointment. I have veeners and the work is in those areas. Dr Ma is an artist and very skilled dentist to do the work he did without damaging the veneer. “I recently visited Aquarius Dental for an urgent tooth issue and received a nur filling. It was an extremely positive experience from start to finish. They gave me priority for my emergency, which I truly appreciated. The doctor was amazing, very gentle, skilled, and explained everything clearly. I felt completely comfortable throughout the treatment. The assistants were also very friendly, supportive, and caring, which made the whole process even smoother. “As an Autistic adult insured under PWD, I’ve had a real heck of a time trying to find a dental clinic that would accept my insurance for an emergency wisdom tooth removal. I spent nearly a week calling around to several different dentists in Langley and Surrey and all of them wanted $1500+ up front for the procedure which just isn’t possible with the amount we are given from PWD monthly. I was in a lot of pain and no clinic was able to help me; I felt defeated and almost ended up taking matters into my own hands to remove the tooth myself. Aquarius Dental was recommended to me through Reddit and I called in and they were super helpful and friendly and reassured me that they accepted PWD and they could see me immediately the next day for a consultation; within the week I had an appointment to remove the tooth. I have had extremely traumatic dental experiences before, so to no one’s surprise I was quite nervous the day of the procedure. When I came in, the lovely receptionist had me fill out the form and the dental assistant brought me to a room. She could tell I was nervous so she brought me a heavy, fuzzy blanket for comfort. Once the oral sedative kicked in, the procedure was an absolute breeze! Dr. Ma is very kind and professional and walked me through the entire process so I wasn’t worried or anxious. I wish I had gotten her name, but his dental assistant was so kind. She gently put her hand on my shoulder to comfort me while I was nervously waiting for the sedative to kick in and comforted me through kind words of encouragement and motivation. I cannot thank her enough, as her patience and compassion really made a huge difference for my experience. The healing process was very straight forward and easy; the follow up phone calls are super helpful and I really appreciated having Dr Ma take a look at my wound to make sure it was healing correctly. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone who is neurodiverse and is struggling to find a compassionate, caring, and professional dental clinic that bills directly to PWD. Their front office is very sensory friendly; they have a comfortable couch that wraps around the wall and corner. The lights aren’t too bright, the music is just the right volume, and they have wifi available for patients to use. Inside the procedure rooms there are Roku tvs available so you can watch something during your procedure should you need a visual distraction. My experience was fantastic and I’ll be telling all my friends and family to come here in the future; I really have to thank Dr Ma and his staff for treating me with such warmth and kindness. 10/10 ⭐️🦷”Read moreShow less

“Very Disappointing Experience at Aquarius Dental Clinic I had a terrible experience at Aquarius Dental Clinic recently. I went in to have a tooth cap re-cemented, which I specifically booked an appointment for. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. First, I was made to wait for 20 minutes at the reception, which is frustrating but not the end of the world. However, things only got worse when I was kept waiting for another 15 minutes inside the dentist’s cabin. Then, despite clearly telling them the purpose of my visit was simply to cement my cap back, they insisted on doing an unnecessary X-ray. I kept explaining the situation, but they proceeded anyway. To top it off, after completing the X-ray, they informed me that they needed to send a request to my insurer for approval and that I would need to come back again. I told them that my insurer approves claims instantly and they should be able to handle this today, but they started making excuses, claiming that insurers don’t work on Saturdays. After insisting they send the request, they finally did, and within seconds, my insurer approved it. But the worst part came after that. Once the approval came through, they informed me that they were closing for the day and I would have to book another appointment to get the work done. It felt like they were just trying to extract more money from me by making me come back for the same thing. This clinic is dishonest and clearly more focused on squeezing extra money out of patients than actually providing quality care. I will never be returning and would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your dental needs.”Read moreShow less
