myoActivation treatments intended effect is to improve the overall quality of life by reducing pain and/or improving biomechanical function. The myoActivation treatment involves inserting hypodermic needles into the muscular fascia or other soft tissue. Risks include minor bleeding, bruising, pain from needling, sweating, nausea, and/or dizziness. Bruising and soreness after treatment is normal and a post-treatment pain flare-up may occur. A very rare complication is a pneumothorax which is only possible if treatment is done on the chest well. Your provider is trained to avoid and manage all complications.
