“I’d like to share my positive experience with Darren, the physiotherapist working in this clinic. For the past several years, I had been searching for a good physiotherapist in the Richmond area. I tried several without much success until my RMT referred me to Darren after I suffered a work-related back injury. As a healthcare professional myself, working in a hospital setting, I understand how crucial a skilled physiotherapist can be to my daily work. Darren is exactly the therapist I was looking for. He is knowledgeable and experienced in dealing with WCB injuries and managed my case exceptionally well. He explains human anatomy in a clear and simple way, sets the treatment plan, and is always ready to answer my many questions, which helps ease my anxiety. Thanks to his excellent care, I have returned to work fully recovered. Darren is also the most compassionate therapist I have ever met. He is kind, treats his patients with a warm heart and gentle touch. I want to highlight his remarkable skills in IMS dry needling. I am not a fan of needles and actually was previously scared of the sharp, electric shock pain, which led me to quit dry needling treatment with another well-known therapist in the area. After hearing all the good compliments about Darren’s IMS skills, it took a lot of mental preparation and self-encouragement for me to try Darren’s needles. I have no regrets; his skills truly impressed me. His IMS technique effectively relieves my muscle tension and is pain-free. It’s hard to explain how he did it, but he genuinely did it. I now go regularly for his IMS dry needling to ease my sore muscles, and I highly recommend him to my healthcare colleagues. Friendly tip: Darren is usually fully booked during his workdays, but for urgent cases, his receptionist can often find a slot for you sooner than expected. “I started seeing MJ for physiotherapy back in October 2025 for carpal tunnel and tennis elbow, and she has been amazing. She has helped me through those issues, as well as subsequent trouble with my neck and shoulders. I’ll admit, I’m not a fan of dry needling and sometimes try to skip a few weeks, but I always end up going back because the results MJ gets are truly magic. She is incredibly friendly, fun, and such a joy to talk to. She even tries to help me relax and drift off to sleep while I’m hooked up to the machines! “I’ve been going to Atlas Physio for over a year now. Everyone is so lovely there right when you walk in. I’ve been dealing with issues with pain all around my body for years and ever since going with Darren I feel like it’s finally getting the healing it desperately needed. Darren takes the time to really access your body when you tell him what has been bothering you and he fixes you right up. I always feel so much better after seeing him and has really saved my body! “This place deserves zero stars 👎. I wouldn’t recommend this physiotherapy clinic. Even with full insurance coverage, I was still asked to pay because they charge above the covered amount, which wasn’t clearly explained. “I don’t recommend this physiotherapy clinic. My insurance covers 100%, but they still made me pay, saying their prices are higher than what insurance allows, which is misleading. He is very kind, knowlegeable, well-experienced, professional and approachable. “I went in to see Darren for TMJ issues/jaw pain. The first time I went in I was very hesitant because I am not a big fan of needles. However, Darren's approach was so understanding and adaptable that I became so comfortable with the needling that I had zero issues going back for follow-ups. My jaw is also feeling so much better, I no longer have jaw pain in the mornings after waking up. My jaw stopped clicking and I have full range of motion with my mouth again.
