“Update!!!: Someone from their team contacted me after this review wanting to set a consultation to discuss this further with the dentist about what could be done to help. I told them I’d have to think about it and would give them a call. I waited to get results from my CT scan to rule out other possibilities and also another physio’s opinion & treatment to see how things would improve. After this, I followed up to have a consultation and was told they would call and let me know. They never did. I called to follow up again few weeks later, and she said that she is waiting to hear from the dentist about a consultation. It’s been over a month, no update has been provided. It doesn’t seem like they will follow up. This is a very upsetting experience. As all other possibilities have been ruled out for why I’m experiencing these issues, and non of these issues were present till shortly after Invisalign treatment was completed at Aura orthodontist that I still experience today years later and impacts my daily life. I have spent thousands of dollars at this point trying to fix these issues and trying to find solutions and more costs ahead to try to fix these issues. I do not recommend for anyone who has facial asymmetrical or any underlying jaw problems. This has been a horrible experience that has left me with long term issues, high costs and no support from their team after. ———————————————————————— Aura Orthodontics did a great job straightening my teeth — the aesthetic results were excellent. However, what was overlooked were the underlying jaw issues that had been noted in my records before treatment. Shortly after completing my Invisalign process, I began experiencing new TMJ and jaw discomfort that gradually progressed into vertigo episodes and other related symptoms. Over the past two years, I’ve had to see multiple professionals including specialist, physiotherapists, and dentists to understand what was happening, it took a long while and waiting for appointments for different answers, and I had to be fitted into new devices to stop the worsening symptoms until we find solutions. When reviewing my photos and records from Aura Orthodontics, I discovered that my TMJ concerns and a tilted jaw had been documented, but no corrective plan or discussion ever took place, it was listed as a "limitation" of the treatment. Unfortunately, this has led to TMJ issues to become much more prominent after finishing my Invisalign treatment. Now that I am finally on the road to bettering these issues, the physio has worked to slowly fix my tilted jaw = but now my teeth no longer touch on one side, and I need to start Invisalign again to hopefully correct these various issues. While I truly appreciate the care and attention put into aligning my teeth, and the kindness of the doctors and staff, I wish the foundational issues with my jaw had been properly addressed before or during treatment. It would have saved me a great deal of time, money, and discomfort that at times over the last two years has impacted my ability to work or thrive because of how bad symptoms got sometimes.”Read moreShow less

“I want to share our experience with this orthodontic clinic. Yesterday my girlfriend was in serious pain due to a half ripped wire sticking out of her mouth, causing bleeding and making it very difficult for her to talk. Her mom had already tried to book an appointment, and when my girlfriend called herself to explain the situation, the way she was treated was honestly awful and mind you this was the work performed by this clinic so she was already a patient there and it wasn’t like we were calling some random clinic for an emergency. Not once did the staff offer to simply take a quick look at the issue, even though it was clearly urgent. Instead, we were told it would take 30 minutes and that they “just couldn’t accommodate her today,” despite the fact that the exact same problem was fixed at another clinic in 5 minutes. To make matters worse, the conversation quickly turned into a list of prices we would have to pay upfront, rather than any attempt to help someone who was clearly in pain. Because of this, I had to leave work early to help her find another orthodontist who could see her. We both ended up losing work hours just to get a simple issue addressed something that ultimately took only a few minutes to fix elsewhere. It’s honestly baffling that in a field centered around patient care, the level of customer service we experienced was this poor. In a time when technology and AI are replacing so many roles, you would think the human side of service some compassion would matter more than ever. After this experience, I will never step foot in this clinic again, and I will absolutely make sure others are aware of how we were treated.”Read moreShow less

“I called yesterday regarding a wire these people installed in my bottom teeth which had ripped out halfway and was poking me I called them in pain explaining the situation …you would think that considering they installed a wire in my teeth they should be responsible for removal of it all I asked them was I need it removed I am at work it’s hurting me the receptionist TWINKLE extremely arrogant lady told me there’s an uproar charge of $500 and this doctor will decide if he wants to remove it fix it back up or install a new one and I told her no I just want it removed for now I am in pain she did not care she wanted me to pay $500 just to remove it I mean like you would do it with plyers in 5 sec I was even willing to pay I asked her if I can come in today she said the next available appointment is for Tom late afternoon I told her multiple time what am I suppose to do today I am in pain I even offered her solutions asking if I can go to another location since they have three. It she refused to comply no no only this location and only Tom and u pay upfront such money hungry so compassion for their poor work Anyways I ended up going to radiant smile in Ladner they took me in right away I just gave them a call and they told me to come in super amazing and just perfect service removed it in 5mins and did not charge me a single penny I am grateful for them or I would ended up in the hospital if it wasn’t for radiant orthodontist so if you want shitty service and staff who is clearly unprofessional and money hunger go ahead and waste your money cuz the moment you pay what they want u to pay they will turn cold real quick”Read moreShow less

“I am absolutely thrilled with the orthodontic care my son has received at Aura from Dr.Sharma! We consulted with a few other doctors before choosing Aura, and I'm so glad we did.
