50 minWalk-and-Talk therapy is a form of counselling that takes place outdoors while walking. It incorporates movement, nature, and a more relaxed physical setting as part of the therapeutic process. Generally, these sessions are in public parks which offer a circular or “loop” path so that clients aren’t required to walk too far, or at a certain pace — the pace and route can be adjusted to meet each client’s needs. Caregivers are welcome to remain at the walking location in a separate area (ie: parking lot, seating area, etc).
