Honestly, finding a physiotherapist who actually understands EDS/hypermobility and all the weird comorbidities that come with it feels so rare, and she has been such a huge support for me. She’s helped me so much with my joints, fascia, pelvic floor issues, and was able to help discuss things like MCAS/POTS, while also being incredibly professional, warm, and genuinely bright.
One of the biggest things for me was that she was able to assess and point out issues with my hips and lumbar spine before multiple doctors and even my MRI results fully did. For the first time in a long time, I felt actually listened to and understood instead of brushed off.
She has a great set up in the “healing cocoon” building in okotoks. Her space is clean, organized, accommodating to all including those with disabilities and small children.
If you’re looking for a physiotherapist who truly understands EDS, hypermobility, chronic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, and complex overlapping conditions, I honestly can’t recommend her enough.Lire la suiteRéduire

I saw Raina for several months for postpartum pelvic floor physio. Her kind, caring demeanour made me feel comfortable right away. She worked collaboratively with me to form a treatment plan I could work on at home which significantly helped my pain and symptoms. Would highly recommend!Lire la suiteRéduire

I started seeing Raina earlier this year for pelvic floor therapy when I started having pelvic, hip and back pain entering my second trimester of pregnancy. I was having a hard time walking, standing up and getting out of bed. We worked out a plan with some simple and manageable at home workouts. After just a few of appointments over 3-4 weeks my pain was gone! Raina is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to. All of our sessions have been educational and an enjoyable experience.Lire la suiteRéduire

Raina is extremely knowledgeable. I started seeing her for pelvic health in pregnancy and then later in pregnancy for lower back & hip pain. Her assessments are very thorough, and she really takes the time to figure out the root of the problem. She provided me with many exercise/stretching options to try throughout my treatment. She also is very professional, and I felt very comfortable during each session. I highly recommend Raina at Centered In Health Physiotherapy!Lire la suiteRéduire

Raina is an excellent physiotherapist. I saw her for pelvic floor issues I had while pregnant and she helped immensely. She really works at your comfort level and physical ability, as well as planning exercises that are reasonable given the time you may have at home. I had a poor experience giving birth to my first, so I saw her prior to giving birth to my second and she gave me birth tips that I actually used leading up to and during the birth and it was a much better experience than with my first. I am very pleased with my experience here and recommend it for those with pelvic floor issues.Lire la suiteRéduire

Raina was amazing for prenatal and postpartum pelvic floor physio! She makes what could be an uncomfortable experience relaxed and comfortable. Care is client centered, focusing on your own personal goals and finding exercises that work realistically with your lifestyle to reach those goals. Being a mom herself, she truly understands pregnancy, labor, birth, and the chaos of caring for a new baby while recovering. She is always learning and exploring new approaches in order to better help patients. I can't recommend her enough!Lire la suiteRéduire

Raina Hawthorne is a skilled, professional and compassionate physiotherapist. She has supported me with various issues in both of my postpartum periods including c-section recovery and breastfeeding support. Raina is very knowledgeable and knows how to explain exercises and tips for recovery in a way that I understood. She also has personal experience with pregnancy and motherhood so she feels really relatable and someone you can feel comfortable talking to. You can also tell that she really cares about her work and truly wants the best for her patients. I would highly recommend Raina as a physiotherapist!Lire la suiteRéduire
