“I cannot believe that this is a dental clinic and not a hotel, because it felt like a short visit at the Ritz-Carlton. Trust me, I am speaking with 100% honesty, this was the best dental experience I've had ever! The check in process was more hospitable than most hotels I've stayed at (I've stayed at a plethora, and I am studying hospitality to become a hotel manager). For context, I arrived 10 minutes late as I had just finished work and was held back later than expected, and usually when you are late (especially when there are many other clients waiting for their service), you feel rushed and the receptionists tend to be a little ticked off. However, at Cité Dentaire de Montréal, as soon as I walked in through the door, I felt like I was being greeted with an enormous hug (not physically of course). The receptionist Reeka (I would like to call her a receptionist but there is a description to her far beyond that, she is an amazing, pure, and empathetic human being), greeted me with a huge smile -- complementing me, and totally reassuring me that my tardiness would not cause the planet to stop spinning. It was my first time here, checking in was breeze. I had a waiver to fill out to inform the dentists about my medical history, age, and what not. Reeka guided me through each step, it was purely a breeze. Thank you again (: ! After a short wait, I was then greeted by my amazing hygienist Rosaline (my apologies if I spelt it incorrectly). Immediately she greeted me with a huge smile, asked me about my personal interests and my life. She was engaging and very thoughtful and once again, I forgot that I was in a dental clinic. She was super patient through out each exam/x-ray, and her explanation for each procedure was very straightforward yet detailed at the same time. Every sense of worry in my body was erased when I was greeted by Reeka, however I truly knew that it would be a breeze once I was in the hands of Rosaline. She was gentle with every procedure, and listened to any of my questions -- giving me top of the line answers to every single one of them. I had asked about different toothpastes that would be best for my personal oral hygiene, and instead of recommending one type, she recommended multiple different brands based on the sensitivity and overall state of my teeth. Not only that, she recommended different mouth washes than the one I use as well, because I take medications that dry my mouth. She truly went above and beyond, in order to make sure I am giving my teeth the proper care. She wrote it all down, made sure that the care that she provided was tailored to my needs, and recommended products that can help eliminate a dry mouth. It truly felt hospitable. We laughed, and had insightful interactions yet it was still very professional. If I could put a mattress in their back office and sleep there every night, I totally would! Just to relive this amazing experience over and over again. After my cleaning was over, I was greeted warmly once again by a truly wonderful dentist. (I feel terrible as my phone had died when I went to write down his name). He is a young man, clearly enticed by what dentistry has to offer. He revised my X-Rays, gave me very helpful tips for proper care of my teeth, and did not judge me one bit on my habits. Instead of judgement, he gave me feedback and advice tailored to my lifestyle to keep my teeth as clean as possible. He was beyond informative and put himself in my shoes to better understand what type of routines I need to establish in order to properly care for my teeth. I wholeheartedly felt comfortable throughout my visit and welcomed, unlike all of the other dental clinics I have unfortunately had the opportunity to be a client at. When I was leaving, I kept telling myself; "I wish that I had discovered this place sooner" as it felt like a treatment that I had missed out on. “I usually don't post negative reviewes about a place, but I had a terrible experience in filling one of my teeth here with Dr. Yu Chen Yang. The story is that the filling of lower left second molar had fell off after 2 or 3 years. And I went there to fill it. It caused numbness in my jaw and root of the tooth and some other troubles. Aside from the fact that she injurred my tongue to a level that I could not talk for 2 weeks properly, she couldn't diagnose why my jaw has stayed numb after 2 3 weeks after remedy. But still that is not why I have posted this review. A couple of days ago the filling she recently did (6 or 7months ago) just fell off!!!! I am speechless. “I had an excellent experience here, truly one of the best dental clinics I’ve been to, even compared to places in both Toronto and Montreal. The entire team was incredibly professional and polite. From the receptionist to the hygienists to the dentist, everyone treated me with patience and care. “When I say I have trust issues with dentists I mean it deeply! I have been to multiple clinics in Montreal and my last visit to another clinic about a year ago left me with so much trauma. It felt transactional, rushed and driven by money rather than care. Today at this clinic it was the completely different, I felt like the luckiest person in the room. From the receptionist, to the hygienist, to the dentist, every interaction was thoughtful, calm and respectful. This team of women operates with an incredible level of attention to detail and professionalism. You can see it in their eyes the genuine passion and knowledge! Even though my diagnosis was more complex due to mistakes made the previous clinic, I felt something I have not felt in a long time, trust. For the first time, I truly believe I am in good hands. They also are equipped with AI preventative technology, really awesome mouth scan tool! The clinic is located in the Desjardins Complex and is very easy to access. While the treatment rooms are on the smaller side, they are well designed, cozy and comfortable to create a pleasant experience, clean and welcoming. “It was really great. I had been dealing with this tooth issue for two weeks, and the whole journey of finding a dentist was extremely difficult. I went to several clinics and made more than ten calls. Finally, I found a truly amazing clinic. After taking the X-rays, they filled my cavity right away—no need to book another appointment. The front desk staff were patient, efficient, and even helped me with the insurance claim. Dr. Yang is very gentle and professional. I didn’t feel any discomfort at all during the filling.
