“Today I downgraded my 5 star to a 3 star( now to a 1 star.) I've been going to Dr. Eggar since I moved to Langford, 13 years. I don't have an insurance plan as I'm self employed. Finally I was able to use the Canada Dental Plan. Yes I needed a root canal and a subsequent crown. My appointment 2 weeks ago was root drilling, and getting the tooth "ready" for the crown. I paid almost $500 for that, they billed the rest to my insurance. Today I got the crown and an $1800.00 bill, which I paid. But when I got home my invoice said $1500. So I reach out, Melissa says that I owe an extra $230 from my previous appointment 2 weeks ago. Apparently $230 of my bill was not covered. Ok, fine. Why didn't someone reach out over 2 weeks ago to tell me I had an outstanding balance? It wasn't even on today's invoice, hence my confusion of being overcharged $230. After I reached out, they emailed me a "new" bill. If I had known I was paying $1800 (today) I could have had budgeted better the extra $230. Now I'm thinking I have to cancel our little easter trip I booked for my son and myself as it's coming up pretty quick. I wish they had reached out 2 weeks ago, so I could have budgeted to pay it. And now I've downgraded to a 1 star. My new dentist educated me. It seems I've had a very neglectful and uncaring dentist all this time. Some of the work needs to be redone. It's appalling the things he did not suggest to me that could have saved me a lot of money over the years. Run far away.”Read moreShow less

“The whole team at Colwood Dental Group is amazing. I have been a patient there for years and I started bringing my 2 kids when they were around 8 months old (they each had about 8 teeth at this point) and because they let my kids go at their own pace, make them feel comfortable and make it a fun experience, they are now excited when I tell them they have a dentist appointment. “Quite frankly the best dental clinic and staff I have ever experienced. At 65 years old and having been raised in a travelling military family and had a long career myself in the military, I have seen many many dentists and dental clinics over the course of my well travelled lifetime. “Fantastic crew! Everyone at Colwood dental have been very good to me. My family & I have been going there for over 15yrs. From the minute I walk in I’m pleasantly greeted by name. To the time they’re done everyone I deal with are excellent. Dr. Egger has a great sense of humour, he’s very efficient but doesn’t rush you. It’s a family feeling when you’re there. “I had my first experience with Colwood Dental Group yesterday with Dr. Andrews. Both Dr. Andrews and the staff were extremely friendly, attentive to my needs and very accommodating. Overall an excellent experience and I'm now working on booking the rest of the family in for all of their dental needs. “Awesome place! Dr King is amazing and has always done good work. The receptionists are very nice and the hygienists are friendly and great to get along with! Highly recommend.
