“As a first-time patient, I had my teeth cleaned September of 2025. Reapplied for Canadian dental plan, phoned to make an appointment, 2 weeks previous to this appointment today. Dental receptionist said we have an appointment booked for you for September, at which time I replied. I would like to get my teeth cleaned sooner. She booked me an appointment,. When I arrived for my appointment, got into the dental chair etc. The dental hygienist then asked me. Am I on the Canadian dental plan? I replied. Yes. She then informed me that I probably wouldn't be able to get my teeth cleaned because a year hadn't passed. When I asked her why the receptionist wouldn't have explained this or clarified this, she was surprised herself. She said yes. She should have said something or asked. When you Google the calendar year for CDP, it says from July 1st until June 30th of the next year. This clinic is saying that I used my yearly appointment in September. This is something I will be searching more into. Possibly phoning other dental clinics to see if they have the same policy. Nevertheless, my eligibility could have been checked in seconds. I spoke to Emily after leaving the appointment today, she was very helpful. Kathy not only wasted my time. She also wasted the dental hygienists time. Kathy was unfriendly, To be honest. When I requested to come in and get my teeth cleaned sooner, it certainly could have been explained to me then. At the very least, the information for CDP is certainly conflicting from the dental office protocol for calendar year. Beware! Kathy, the receptionist is extremely rude and disrespectful. “Dr Crocker is amazing with our family providing preventive and restorative dentistry. I hand out toothbrushes and toothpaste to certain areas downtown and Dr Crocker is the first to offer to supply it to me at no cost. He really gives back to the community. “My husband needed urgent care because his lower gum was swollen. We contacted the clinic of Dr. Sandy Crocker and Dr. Peter Mitchell. Their team was very supportive — they called back quickly and arranged for my husband to be seen by Dr. Mitchell as He is only Dr avilable that same day . Dr. Mitchell explained everything very clearly both before and after the procedure. He is very knowledgeable, which really put us at ease. I have been a patient of Dr. Mitchell since childhood, and his humor and friendly demeanor have always put me instantly at ease—something my entire family has appreciated over the years. More recently, we’ve had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Crocker as well. He expertly handled wisdom teeth extractions for both of my kids, showing remarkable care and compassion throughout the procedures and follow-up. On a personal note, I cannot thank Dr. Crocker enough for his patience and kindness with me. I am not the easiest patient (I don’t freeze well and I struggle with anxiety), yet he always goes above and beyond to ensure I feel comfortable and cared for. This level of dedication speaks volumes about the kind of professionals they are. “I have been going here for years and have not had one bad experience. The staff are wonderful! Hanna is an amazing dental hygienist! My daughter and I both saw her on different days and both raved to each other about her. Dr Crocker has a way of making you feel as important as every other patient, remembering details you have mentioned about yourself in the past means a lot. He clearly cares about his patients and his staff, which you can feel with the vibe amongst the happy staff when you are there. Would highly recommend to give them a try if you are looking for a dentist and decide for yourself. You may just be as happy with them as me and my family has always been!
