“Thank you Dr Sherry for enabling me to get a perfectly quiet nights sleep next to my spouse. I found sleeping next to my snoring spouse really starting to affect my daily life. Dr.Sherry suggested a D-SAD appliance. They took a 3D scan of his teeth and in two weeks we had back the new appliance. I was skeptical after another sleep dentist had suggested going straight to surgery. I’m amazed!! The first morning after wearing it he said he felt so much more rested. “Had my first visit there today for an appointment to get an examination and cleaning. The team at Elgin Dental really impressed me. They were friendly, patient and very professional. They answered every question that I had about my teeth thoroughly. I have always been afraid of dental cleaning due to my sensitive gums I used to sit through entire cleanings with clinched fists at other dental clinics, and so I asked to skip polishing because of it. However, their dental hygienist Sat was great at identifying the reason for my sensitivity, and was willing to try different things to alleviate my discomfort, and by merely adjusting the water temperature for the oral spray warmer, I was able to get my complete cleaning done (polishing included) without feeling any discomfort at all. I am definitely sticking with this place for my future dental care needs. I highly recommend this place if you live in Poco or near by!”Read moreShow less

“Both my girls have been seeing Dr Sherry for a few semiannual visits now; we love her and the staff here! She’s gentle and extremely kind, and takes her time explaining things. This has been so helpful for my younger teen who’s always nervous in any clinic/Dr visit. “BEWARE!!! I visited this clinic in December 2024 for a cleaning and checkup, and it turned into a 3-hour ordeal. They performed a 3D scan I never requested or needed. During the cleaning, they skipped both fluoride and scaling — yet still billed my insurance for them. When I pointed this out, they apologized and admitted they “didn’t have time” to do the treatments… but still had time to charge for them. During the exam, I was told by Dr.Sherry that I had seven cavities. When I questioned it (since I go for regular checkups), she suggested my previous dentist “didn’t pay attention.” Thankfully, I trusted my instincts and got a second opinion at another clinic today — I was told I have zero cavities and perfectly healthy teeth. Meanwhile, this clinic kept calling me to schedule fillings I never needed. I’m relieved I didn’t fall for it, but it’s scary to think how many people might have. This place is a complete scam. “I can’t say enough good things about Elgin Dental, and Dr. Sherry. I feel incredibly lucky to be under her care. She truly listens to her patients, and makes you feel comfortable and valued from the moment you sit in the chair. She is gentle and attentive, always taking the time to explain what she’s doing and ensuring that I feel at ease throughout any procedure - routine or otherwise. You can tell that she genuinely cares about her patients, not just their teeth. Dr. Sherry is very skilled, and her knowledge and experience is evident from the get go. I always leave feeling confident that I’ve received the best care possible. The clinic itself is very clean, welcoming, peaceful (and that’s not a quality usually possessed by a dental clinic!), and has a great team of staff who are always friendly and professional.
