A deep tissue massage spends most of the hour on slow, firm work through deeper layers of muscle and fascia — often with you draped on the table while the practitioner uses elbows, forearms and sustained pressure, then leaves you with a sense of what was worked and any aftercare notes.

This combination can really target painful trigger points residing in muscles as well as create long lasting pain relief and increased mobility in the muscles, be sure to work with your therapist to achieve the pressure you are needing on a scale of 1/5 choose your ideal pressure for treatment at the beginning and help them understand the level throughout treatment if needed using that scale !
