I have been dealing with what I had been told was a rotator cuff injury for about six months, limited shoulder mobility, simple tasks like putting on a seatbelt, taking off a jacket etc were causing me pain. I went to a few physio appointments throughout the lower mainland, a couple of massages and nothing was helping it improve. At one point I was told that if it's a rotator cuff injury, I'm essentially hooped and should expect to feel lingering pain for the foreseeable future. I was referred to try FIT TO TRAIN and booked an Osteo appointment with Chantelle Groenewoud. Chantelle took the time to get to know my various injuries, from small grievances to broken bones etc. Tested out my mobility and was able to conclude that my injury wasn't my rotator cuff after all. Chantelle did a couple of very slight manipulations and I walked out of FIT TO TRAIN with complete mobility back, could raise my arm overhead, reach with no pain and that lingering annoying pain is completely gone. It's been one week since my appointment and I have not woken up with any shoulder pain, I have been able to slowly re introduce elements of my workouts that I have not been able to do since May, all thanks to Chantelle. THANK YOU!Read moreShow less

Amazing experience with Greg Elliott. I was doing stretches and maneuvers I haven't done in years within an hour session. Highly recommend this clinic.mentions Greg Elliott →

I hurt my foot playing soccer. I went to the doctor and got x-rays done only to find out nothing was broken. I thought: "What a relief!". However, after 2 months, the swelling and pain wouldn't go away and the doctor just kept telling me to be patient... A friend recommended Fit To Train and said someone in their team would be able to fix it - he was right! The bones in my foot had moved during the shock, which was why it was still swollen and sore after 2 months (which the x-rays didn't show). The osteopath worked his magic and put everything back in place during the first appointment. The swelling reduced considerably within a couple days. After 2 or 3 appointments and doing the suggested exercises to strengthen my foot muscles and maintain the bones' position, my foot was back to normal. I've been back on the pitch for a couple months now thanks to Fit to Train! I highly recommend it.Read moreShow less

I hurt my knee snowboarding in 2013. After seeing several doctors and physiotherapists, I was unable to get help, or even to get an explanation as to what was wrong. I had pretty much given up, but fit to train was recommended to me by a friend, so I decided to give it a try and I am so, so glad I did. Mon Jef was able to quickly assess that the problem was with overly tight muscles in other parts of my legs, with a lack of mobility in my upper body. They gave me exercises to correct this, and my knee started feeling better in a matter of weeks after months of being sore. I must admit I'm a bit lazy with the exercises sometimes, but the ones I do are helping my knee. I look forward to my appointments because I feel empowered to take care of my own health rather than obligated to spend hundreds of dollars over and over to maintain a mediocre solution. If you are looking to have your problems fixed for GOOD, go to Fit to Train! Trust me, you won't regret it!Read moreShow less

I highly recommend Fit To Train! I find it easy to schedule appointments and the receptionist is always warm. I have been seeing Greg (Exercise Physiologist) to treat an ongoing knee issue that I've had for the past 13 years. He has always been welcoming, kind and professional in his approach to treating me. As he treats me he explains what he's doing and how it's all connected - I leave the clinic feeling like I have a better understanding of my body. I also love that they have a large, well trained team that communicates and understands how each of their expertise's relate to each other. As Greg was treating me he also referred me to Michael, an RMT (who is professional, kind and always ensures you're comfortable), and together I could feel the improvement in my knee! Thanks guys!Read moreShow less
