The purpose of a movement assessment is to highlight movement deficiencies that may place you at risk of future injury. It can also be a useful tool for improving general physical health and performance in sport. Anyone young or old, athlete or weekend-warrior can benefit from a movement assessment. What is included? • A comprehensive history: you tell us about your injury and medical history • A movement assessment: a number of standardized movements assessing mobility, stability and motor control • With your goals in mind we then work together to come up with an individualized program Functional Movement Assessments can be claimed as “physiotherapy” under extended health plans.
