Reflexology is the practice of manually stimulating the nervous system to create homeostasis, or balance, within your body. Though most commonly applied on the feet, reflexology can also be done on the hands, ears, face and scalp; the techniques used to apply pressure vary depending on the body part being worked. By applying pressure to specific areas on the feet/hands/ears/face/scalp, which corresponds to every organ and gland in your body, your nervous system is able to recognize blockages within each system and begin the work to clear them. Reflexology helps to relieve stress by activating a parasympathetic response (relaxation) from your body. This allows dis-harmonies to be released, blood and lymphatic circulation to increase through your entire body and encourages healing and balancing processes to begin. When booked with an RMT these sessions are eligible for direct billing.
