“Dr Shawn is not great for gold. Two of my teeth now cracked after his work, he might be in a gold club but I'm sure there are better dentists. Also the clinics reviews went downhill quite a lot, which tells you something”

“Very grateful for this dentist. They're very thorough and not sold on gimmicks here. I have never trusted a dental office like this before. I learned some really good flossing techniques and knowledge, especially from Gemma. Their black thread floss helps you see when you're actually getting gunk out of your teeth, so make sure to ask for some after a cleaning. “I've had some good and some bad experiences at House of Teeth. Good: The actual dentists are very gentle and kind, I had a cavity and they made sure to fully freeze everything, checking in with me periodically. I felt really safe with the doctors. I've also been able to get appointments within the next day or so, so I'd trust them if I had an emergency. Bad: Every dental hygienist I've had there has been quite rough, or at the very least quite preachy about things like flossing. I've left my cleanings bleeding and uncomfortable. My first cleaning there was spread over three appointments. They couldn't get the cleaning done initially, even though I had no cavities or other issues. In fact, I've repeatedly been told how great my teeth are (sorry to brag). And yes, I did get charged 3x and had to come in 3 separate days. What cinched it for me was them upping their prices without informing me before an appointment. Sorry to brag again, but at the time I had two benefit plans, both of them extensive. 100% had been covered in the past. This time, I had to pay out of pocket for a regular cleaning. They told me they arbitrarily decided to increase pricing, making it significantly more expensive than dental associations' average pricing.”Read moreShow less

“absolutely awful. I just received a diagnosis for shingles and was advised to stay away from anyone at risk who may not be vaccinated from my doctor. I canceled my appointment 24 hours in advance (the soonest I was able once the clinic was open) and they charged me $150 anyway. It seems like the manager said they would rather put their elderly patience and staff at risk to viral infections then have people cancel. I would advise anyone who is prone to illness to not go here.”Read moreShow less

“Have been a patient for several years. By far the best dental experience I've had in my life. All the staff are excellent and thoughtful. Calming, clean and modern environment with a focus on sustainability. They even have awesome landscaping with all native plants outside at the Hastings location. “I have been a client ( and my family) for a number of years. All the staff there are so kind professional and do fantastic work. I moved farther away, but still drive in to see them. They offer great advice and never try to get you to do extra work that's not needed . I trust them 100% to be honest and upfront with my dental needs. They have done quality work on my gold crown and fillings. Truly the best clinic I've ever attended. They even fit you in for emergency work too! “House of Teeth on Broadway has been giving me phenomenal care since I became a patient a few years ago. They always accommodate my many complex health issues which includes tilting backwards in the chair. I recently saw Dr. Aleksandar Bogosavljevic for a check up and fillings. He gave me the best dental care that I can remember ever having in so many years. I am always treated with the most kind, compassionate and professional care ! “I started going to House of Teeth after many years of inconsistent dental care because of their reputation for flexible, accessible service. This was absolutely my experience for many years, and I’ve always had great interactions with all of their dentists and hygienists. Unfortunately, as their business has grown their approach has become much less client-centred. Their cancellation policy is a severe mismatch for me as a parent of a young child with frequent health issues, not to mention that it seems to ignore communicable illness as a valid reason not to come to a dental appointment. I’m not looking forward to finding a new dentist, but paying out of pocket for the privilege of staying home with a sick kid just doesn’t fit with my idea of good care. Probably still a great option for people without kids or other barriers to never missing an appointment, but if you don’t like feeling stuck between childcare, your financial health and your dental care, maybe best to look elsewhere.”Read moreShow less

“Overall a very friendly, organized and clean dental office. The waiting area gives you a small coffee shop type of vibe. I did not feel that typical “anxiously waiting” medical office waiting room experience. The music is also not your typical “elevator music” and can vary based on the day. The staff are professional and knowledgeable. Special thanks to Dr. Erica and hygienist Justin for great care and attention to detail! Natasha and Bree at the front desk are also super friendly!
