This is a free intro class for our Adapted Yoga for Kids and Teens series, running on Thursdays beginning March 5th. A 45 minute inclusive small group class, giving kids the opportunity to engage within a group that supports and builds on current abilities. Finding fun ways to move the body through a yoga inspired approach. Learning the importance of breathwork and how to safely take the body through gentle head to toe activity.

This appointment type is only available if your child has already been assessed by a physiotherapist at Kids Physio. A Physiotherapy Support Worker can help your child to reach their goals by reviewing their exercises and providing one-on-one support. Note, these appointments can not be billed directly to private insurance.
Our Baby Milestone Group Class is run by a registered physiotherapist and centres around parent education on motor milestone development and progression, as well as common pediatric concerns to be aware of. The goals of this class are: 1. To educate and empower parents to support their babies in achieving their maximum gross motor potential and avoid future concerns, and 2. To create a safe and FUN space to connect with other parents and their babies. Topics covered will include tummy time, rolling, sitting, transitions, crawling and pulling to stand. Sign up is for the entire four class program, which is bi-weekly over 8 weeks. An assessment is required prior to the first class.
This abbreviated initial assessment is specifically designed for parents who are interested in participating in our Infant Milestone Group Classes. It is significantly shorter than a typical assessment and designed specifically for babies who are not yet moving on their own who will be participating in the Milestone Group Class!

Looking for physiotherapy for your infant who is struggling with feeding? In this one-hour specialized assessment, your physiotherapist will assess your infant’s latch, tongue mobility, and overall motor development. Physiotherapy exercises, bodywork techniques, and positioning can help improve your infant’s feeding to allow for more comfortable, successful feeds for both parent and baby. Please note: this assessment will evaluate *the infant * and does not include maternal assessment or breast health, though we would be happy to help you connect with another professional to support in those areas!
An opportunity to work towards your infant feeding related physiotherapy goals following an Infant Feeding Assessment. Physiotherapy exercises, bodywork techniques, and positioning can help improve your infant’s feeding to allow for more comfortable, successful feeds for both parent and baby. Note: This is a shorter appointment, than our typical recommendation for an infant follow up. Please speak with your physiotherapist to ensure it will be enough time before booking!
Looking for more information about your infant's development? In this one hour assessment, a physiotherapist will assess several areas of your baby's mobility and motor skills, answer any and all of your questions, and provide education so you can continue to confidently support your baby's motor development!

If your child needs physiotherapy for an injury or specific pain, this is the appointment type for them. Our physiotherapists will assess, treat, and provide education to support your child in returning to their favourite athletic endeavours as quickly, safely, and successfully as possible.

This session will take place at the Comox Valley Aquatic Centre. When you arrive, let the front desk know that you are here with Kids Physio. A trusted guardian is required to remain at the pool for the entirety of the first session, and may be asked to join in the water for future sessions if the child is unable to confidently swim and / or follow directions.
This appointment type is only available if your child has already been assessed by a physiotherapist at Kids Physio. Pool visits with a Physiotherapy Support Worker can help your child to reach their goals, and enjoy a new environment. Parents or an additional, trusted support person must join in the pool for at least the first session, Note, these appointments cannot be billed directly to private insurance.
This class runs from April 1st to May 6th, 2025. Facilitated by a skilled physiotherapist, this class will have both stretching and strengthening components, with a focus on postural alignment and core, lengthening tight hips and shoulders, and ultimately, injury prevention. Open to all athletes aged 14 - 18, though this class is especially recommended for competitive dancers, gymnasts, and skaters. This is a physiotherapy class, therefore an assessment is required prior to registration to ensure each athlete’s individual needs can be met. A 30 minute, 1:1 session from the comfort of your home. Please ensure you have an appropriate space, stable internet connection, and reliable device (computer or tablet are recommended) available at your scheduled appointment time.
Run by skilled yoga teacher and Athletic Therapist, Jorden Smith, this class will have both stretching and strengthening components, making it perfect for flexible athletes working on injury prevention. Open to all athletes aged 10 - 14, though this class is especially recommended for competitive dancers, gymnasts, and skaters. This is a Athletic Therapy / Yoga class (not physiotherapy), therefore you may have coverage through your insurance, but we will unfortunately not be able to bill them directly. Cost: $20.00 drop in, or $60.00 to pre-register for all four classes.
