Chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The skin that grows back after a chemical peel is smoother and younger looking. Chemical peel is a treatment using diverse natures of acids to achieve varying levels of exfoliation on the skin. Chemical peels can be done at different depths - light, medium or deep - depending on your desired results. Each type of chemical peel uses a different chemical solution. Microdermabrasion is a nonsurgical, minimally invasive procedure used to renew overall skin tone and texture. It can improve the appearance of sun damage, wrinkles, fine lines, age spots, acne scarring, melasma, and other skin-related concerns and conditions. A diamond-tip handpiece is designed to gently exfoliate dead cells off your skin. At the same time, it will suction them off immediately. The depth of the abrasion may be affected by the pressure applied on the handpiece as well as how long the suction remains on the skin.
