Shirodhara comes from the two Sanskrit words; ‘shiro’ meaning head and ‘dhara’ meaning flow. An ancient traditional and well established Ayurvedic healing technique of slowly and steadily dripping warm medicated oil on the forehead. Followed by a head massage. The focus is to balance the life forces, called ‘doshas’, within the body. According to Ayurvedic tradition, an imbalance in the three doshas will result in disrupting the balance of normal functioning of the body.
