“I recently received treatment from Dr. Olivier Barre for chronic lower back, hip pain, and persistent tightness that had built up from long hours of sitting in class and studying. I hadn’t realized how severe the imbalance had become until it began affecting my mobility and comfort daily. Rather than focusing on releasing tension alone, Dr. Olivier took a corrective approach by activating the weak musculature contributing to the issue. This was a significant shift from what I had previously been doing. Following earlier advice, I had been aggressively rolling out my glutes in an attempt to relieve tension, which ultimately led to the development of two large cysts near my tailbone. Combined with prolonged sitting and instability in my hips, I was genuinely concerned about worsening the condition. After just one 40-minute session using targeted muscle stimulation, the results were immediate and difficult to overstate. The cysts resolved, my hip pain subsided, and I was able to sit comfortably again. While the treatment itself was intense at first, within about twenty minutes it shifted into a profound sense of release. The physical relief was accompanied by an emotional one, which I think is important to acknowledge. He created a space that felt both structured and safe, allowing that release to happen without hesitation. What stood out most was how comprehensive the effects were. Beyond my hip and lower back, I noticed immediate improvements in my posture, along with reduced tension in my left shoulder, neck, right ankle, and calves. It was clear that his understanding of the body extends far beyond isolated symptoms. Dr. Olivier is direct, highly knowledgeable, and transparent about what is needed for progress. If additional support is required, he does not hesitate to recommend other practitioners and ensures you understand your options. His background in dietary therapy also adds a valuable long-term perspective, particularly when it comes to maintaining muscle integrity and overall function. This was after a single treatment. The level of change in such a short time has completely shifted my expectations of what is possible in recovery. I will absolutely continue working with him, both for treatment and to better understand how to prevent recurrence. “I cannot thank you enough for Dr. Olivier's help to improve my healing progress. I've been suffering since 13 years ago with complex case of TMJ disorder with cervical/neck slipped disc. Blissful to find his Vancouver clinic when I was searching for acupuncturist due to my aggravated insomnia as long-term Covid effect. Later I figure out he is expert with dry needling (he is far better than the acupuncturists I had before him) that really helped me with pain relief in my left face since a decade ago and now my face is symmetrical as my face and bite are extremely shifted to the left. I have a weekly session with him since year 2022 added to my weekly chiropractic session. My working lifestyle/desk job can easily ruin my posture that my chiropractor’s effort will be in vain, but that changed when I met Dr. Oliver. It is now a synergistic healing effect of chiropractic, acupuncture and RMT that the extreme variety kind of pain I’ve been suffering has decreased tremendously. I was even considering for a Botox injection to minimize the TMD pain to have concentration to pass an extremely difficult professional designation exam. But Dr. Olivier told me that once I have the Botox, he cannot continue the dry needling acupuncture. Since he is a Biomedicine scientist as well, I followed his advice and chose acupuncture over Botox. Extremely glad for his advice with twice weekly session few months before my professional designation exam that I finally pass!
