Cystic Acne Injection (Corticosteroid)
This appointment involves a targeted corticosteroid injection using triamcinolone acetonide to help reduce localized inflammation and abnormal tissue response. It is commonly used for the treatment of keloid and hypertrophic scars, cystic acne nodules, and other localized inflammatory conditions.
Treatment includes a brief assessment to determine suitability, followed by the injection administered directly into the affected area. The goal is to reduce swelling, flatten raised scar tissue, and improve discomfort or appearance over time. Multiple sessions may be recommended depending on response to treatment.
