It was just a consultation so far but I turned out great. The exam was quick painless and there is a plan set. Hannah and Maddie explained everything.

Dr Andy Wong and his assistant today, Sylvia, did a Fantastic job filling 2 teeth. Communication was great and I was made to feel very comfortable. Dr Wong is the Best!

As a new patient, the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. I saw Dr Kingwell, who is warm and sympathetic and has a great deal of expertise. She took the time to talk through the X-rays and showed me where some work needed to be done. The hygienist was also excellent, knowledgeable, a good communicator, and gentle. There is a very nice vibe across the whole team. The office staff are fast and efficient, the administrator continued to process my insurance claim after I left and got more payment from them, which I really appreciated! Highly recommend!Read moreShow less

I had a tooth break and Pier 1 dental got me in on an emergency basis with no delay to my current trip on a sailboat. Dr. Andy Wong used their CEREC technology to design, build, and install a crown in a single visit. My wife also had a dental filling replaced while I was there. Staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. If I live anywhere near Campbell River, Pier 1 dental would become my go to dental provider. Video of their computerized milling machine finishing my crown. Followup 1 year later; I had a crown develop a rough edge from a crack (not a crown from Pier 1 Dental) and they were able to fit me in to their schedule to check it out. No work required apart from a diagnosis and examination of the crown but I was grateful to get it it checked out before I continued this year’s sailing trip. Very friendly staff, and if I lived in BC, this would be my go to dental clinic.Read moreShow less

Most people think of the dentist as the place you go only when something hurts or you’ve run out of excuses to cancel. But somehow, Pier Street Dental has become the one dental office I actually don’t mind visiting, which feels like a small miracle. The clinic is spotless, modern, and always feels calm from the moment you walk in. The front desk staff greet you like they actually enjoy being there, which already puts them ahead of most medical offices. I don’t think I’ve ever waited past my appointment time. The hygienists are always prepared, know my file better than I do, and somehow manage to make teeth cleaning feel like a normal human experience instead of medieval dentistry. They check in often, make sure I’m comfortable, and genuinely care about how things are going. Dr. Chin makes you feel like a valued patient, not just another spot on the schedule. He’s practical, honest, and never recommends anything you don’t need. From what I’ve gathered in conversation, his golf game might be a little questionable but his dental skills definitely are not. Dr. Wong has this calm, focused energy, and when a good song comes on, he gets into the zone with a little head‑bob that somehow makes the whole appointment feel more relaxed. It’s nice seeing someone enjoy the moment while still being so precise. Dr. Kingwell radiates compassion from the moment she walks in. She’s gentle, thoughtful, and genuinely wants you to feel comfortable during and after your appointment. She has this way of checking in on you that feels so sincere you almost forget she’s holding sharp dental tools. The CDAs keep the place running like a well‑oiled machine. They’re efficient, friendly, and the conversations before the dentist comes in are always so personal and entertaining that I almost forget I’ll be listening to the sound of a drill soon. The office manager keeps everything running smoothly, and you can tell she’s doing a great job by how happy the staff seem to be. She also brings a natural warmth to the front of the office, although with the ocean right outside, it’s hard to tell whether it’s her or the sunlight reflecting off the water. In all seriousness, congratulations to the whole Pier Street Dental team. You’ve managed to turn a place most people avoid into one they genuinely don’t mind walking into, and that’s saying something.Read moreShow less

All of the staff are fantastic! Huge thank you to Courtenay for making me feel so comfortable and calm. She is very personable and took the time to help explain and educate me on improving my teeth hygiene. Thanks for making this a much more enjoyable experience than I envisioned it would be. Fantastic staff, very happy, knowledgeable and patient. Not only did their hygienist Courtney do a wonderful job cleaning my teeth, she also taught me that calculus isn't just a class I failed in high school. It's also a substance, that if left unchecked, will turn your gums into turtleneck sweaters. One appointment with her and my teeth felt like they ditched their tight turtlenecks and slipped into comfortable cashmere cardigans. Highly recommend.Read moreShow less

Great experience all around! Everyone is very friendly. I'm not nervous with dentists, so that helps. I had a couple of back to back appointments. Explanations were given every step of the way.
