I have been seeing Robert for a little while now and I can't believe how much change I've seen in not only my jaw pain but the feeling of how my jaw sits now. I dislocated my jaw many years ago, recently saw a maxilofacial surgeon who basically said my discs are gone and he recommended surgery to basically just clean up the area. I felt so discouraged. Luckily another RMT (Kristina @ Juniper Massage Therapy) recommended Robert to me and it has been LIFE CHANGING. It took a few weeks of relaxing everything but combined with my home care he gave me, I was shocked that I was starting to notice my daily jaw pain was reducing. I was seeing him about once a week for a couple of months. Now I see him for maintenance or if I have a flare. Robert is incredibly talented, affirming & an overall amazing person. The massage therapy I have received from Robert Hackwood at Priority Therapeutic Massage has been life changing. My dentist had referred me to an orthodontist to correct my overbite. I had very longstanding jaw, neck, and shoulder pain, and very painful TMJ. These have been substantially eliminated and, to my dentist's amazement, the overbite is gone. The need for braces and orthodontic treatment was eliminated. Painful post surgical trauma from a lung procedure decades ago was negatively affecting my voice and had not responded to treatment from numerous other practitioners. Robert's highly skilled and specialized treatment has resolved it. I cannot say enough about how much these treatments mean for my enjoyment of life!
