Neurotoxin is injected deep into the masseter muscle to inhibit muscular contraction to provide relaxation. As a result, this may help to control and prevent TMJ pain, clenching of the jaw and bruxism (teeth grinding). This injection may also result in a slimming facial appearance as the massester muscle atrophies over time due to the neurotoxin injection. Treatment typically requires 15-30 units per side for therapeutic effect. Price is $9.50 unit. Appointment includes initial consultation with your nurse injector and nurse practitioner to develop a treatment plan and provide injection treatments.
