Most of this EMDR follow-up hour is spent doing the reprocessing itself — you focus on a specific memory while the counsellor guides the pace and uses bilateral stimulation such as eye movements, taps or tones, with shorter check-ins on what has shifted since last time and grounding work you leave with.
