*Therapeutic Body Concepts Team Only* Dates: May 25–26, 2026 Location: Edmonton, AB Course Length: 2 days Pricing (TBC Exclusive Rates): Early Bird until March 15, 2026: $400 + GST (savings of $175) Regular: $450 + GST (savings of $125) This two-day foundational course is designed to equip Registered Massage Therapists with the clinical knowledge, confidence, and practical skills required to safely and effectively treat clients living with cancer — during active treatment, recovery, and beyond. Therapists will move beyond entry-level education to understand cancer pathologies, treatment side effects, contraindications, positioning considerations, and ethical decision-making in oncology care. Emphasis is placed on real-world application, interdisciplinary communication, and building trust with both patients and referring healthcare providers. This course supports RMTs in stepping confidently into oncology care — a growing and underserved patient population — while staying firmly within scope and evidence-based practice. By the end of this course, participants will be able to: - Confidently assess and treat oncology patients across different stages of care - Adapt massage techniques, pressure, positioning, and pacing for safety and comfort - Understand common cancer treatments and their implications for massage therapy - Communicate clearly and professionally with oncologists, nurses, and allied healthcare providers - Reduce fear and uncertainty around oncology massage through clinical reasoning and education - Build a trusted referral-based practice serving a high-need patient population - Apply ethical, regulated-care decision-making in complex clinical scenarios You will leave confident and inspired to dive into the world of supporting cancer patients!
