“I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it is important to share my experience with The Dental Studio so other patients can make informed decisions. I went to this clinic for tooth extractions as part of my orthodontic treatment plan. From the beginning, my understanding was that I would either: - remove 2 teeth first and schedule the remaining extractions later, or - possibly remove 4 teeth if the dentist assessed that it was appropriate on the day of the procedure. At no point was I clearly informed that 6 teeth would be extracted in a single appointment. However, during my visit, a total of 5 teeth were ultimately removed, including a wisdom tooth. What concerns me the most is the consent process. I was never clearly informed that 6 teeth were planned to be removed on the same day, and I was never provided with or asked to sign any written consent form authorizing the extraction of 6 teeth during one appointment. When I later questioned why 5 teeth had been extracted, the clinic shifted responsibility toward my orthodontic office and stated that the orthodontic office had informed them that “I wanted all 6 teeth removed at once.” Informed consent should not be replaced by assumptions regarding a patient’s preference before a procedure of this scale is performed. I also remain deeply concerned regarding the post-operative care I received. The gauze was removed before I left the clinic, and I was not instructed to continue applying pressure afterward by biting on gauze, despite having undergone multiple extractions in one visit. After returning home, I experienced significant and persistent bleeding, which caused considerable stress and raised serious concerns regarding whether appropriate bleeding management and discharge procedures had been adequately followed before I was allowed to leave the clinic. Another concern is that the written post-extraction aftercare instructions were only sent to me after I contacted the clinic regarding these issues, rather than being provided to me at the time I was discharged following the procedure. I later contacted the clinic directly regarding these concerns. However, I still found the communication unclear, and my questions regarding the consent documentation were not properly addressed. This entire experience caused significant distress and seriously affected my trust in the treatment and discharge process. I hope the clinic seriously reviews and improves its communication, informed consent procedures, discharge process, and post-operative care protocols so that future patients fully understand and clearly agree to the treatment being performed before any procedure begins.”Read moreShow less

“I had such a great experience today at The Dental Studio. Don't shame me, but I had not been to a dentist in 20 years and had been putting if off for far too long. Over those years, my 3 dogs had numerous expensive dental visits at the vet. Yet, I was neglecting my own teeth and had become quite embarrassed of the condition of my human mouth. The whole team at The Dental Studio was professional and made me feel comfortable about my situation. “The Dental Studio is always so welcoming and the staff are absolutely wonderful. All the receptionists, hygienists, and dentists, every single one of them, are so kind and look genuinely happy to be working. My toddler was very nervous and afraid of coming to the dentist but everyone took the time to chat and make my toddler feel at ease.
