Therapeutic Massage, Treatment concludes with of Head Spa Hydrotherapy

This treatment combines a 60 minute therapeutic body massage alongside a 30 minute head specific hydrotherapy addition. What is a Head Spa treatment: With origins in traditional Asian wellness rituals, head spa treatments focus on scalp care and how it can benefit the entire body. Head spa practices incorporate massage, hydrotherapy and aromatherapy into a uniquely relaxing sensory experience. Benefits of a headspa treatment include: Increasing blood circulation to the scalp resulting in benefits to overall hair health. Decreasing muscle tightness and tension of the scalp, face, jaw, and neck areas. The hydrotherapy “waterfall” can be profoundly relaxing calming the sympathetic nervous system. Who are headspa treatments suitable for? If your favourite part of getting your hair done is when the stylist washes it for you in a basin (and gives a wonderful scalp massage, of course) then this is the treatment for you. Who it is not suitable for: People who wear hair extensions, have sensitive scalps, broken skin barriers of the scalp, anyone who is claustrophobic or fearful of water. Those who are pregnant should disclose this information beforehand as it will require treatment modifications. What does it include? A tranquil therapy headspa leans into my massage therapy skillset and includes: Dry hair scalp massage with oil Wet Scalp massage with shampoo Buccal (face) massage with a hot towel while conditioner is setting. Lymphatic drainage massage of face and neck Fascial release of masseter muscles Optional intra-oral jaw massage as part of buccal protocol.
