“They broke my daughter's glasses and provided her with a trial pair of contacts. I called to order more contacts after her trial pair was complete thinking they would have the contacts in stock (as no one from the company advised that it takes another 5 to 7 days for them to order the contact in). “I'm not typically one to write reviews but when a business goes so far above-and-beyond as Vernon Optometry and Dr. Shrimpton, it's hard not to rave. When a doc appt recommended I be seen by an optometrist right away, Dr. Shrimpton was willing to see me on his lunch break the following day. I called several other clinics in Vernon, Kamloops and the Shuswap (including my regular clinic) and the shortest wait was at least 5 days. Service like the kind I received at Vernon Optometry just isn't heard of these days and I couldn't recommended this clinic more! 15/10.”Read moreShow less

“Excellent customer service and very nice staff. I had an appointment which I got very quickly and slept in that morning and they were able to get me in the same day still at a later time which worked out perfect for me. The optometrist really took her time to take a good look at my eyes. On top of that I got a great rate for the exam for someone without insurance. “I recently started taking my son here as we moved and his old optometrist is too far away. This is hands down the best optometrist office we have been to. The staff are so friendly and helpful! We saw Dr.Mann and he was awesome. Very compassionate, friendly and thorough as heck! “Beware of a money grab at this office!! The charge for transferring my file to another optometrist in Vernon was $100. Most optometrists do not charge any fee for this service. Makes you wonder what other maximum billing procedures they use to get your money!!”
