“Yesterday I walked into Visions Chilliwack in the hope that they might be able to repair a broken nose piece on my glasses. These were glasses that I had not purchased from them and were from an online Canadian vendor. The vendor does not repair glasses but will replace them within the warranty period. I was outside of that period and was loathe to purchase a new set of progressive glasses. Also it seems wasteful to throw away a good pair of glasses that can be repaired. I was greeted promptly and in a friendly manner upon entering the store and assisted by Gerda. She said it would be a little while for the repair….15 minutes was all. When I returned to pick the glasses up and pay for the repair, I was told “No charge. It’s what we do”. I was both surprised and appreciative. Gerda and Visions saved me hundreds of dollars in replacement glasses. There is something to be said about dealing with a bricks and mortar business and its employees that you may not find online. Next glasses that I need will be purchased at Visions. Thank you Gerda.”Read moreShow less

“I went to look at glasses at vision optical for working at a computer, I had never worn them before. And I needed to add diopters, because my eyesight had dropped a little. I wanted to choose and buy high-quality and branded glasses. When I started asking the woman at the reception if I could somehow understand how the lenses differ, look at the samples, she told me that they couldn't make samples for everyone. She would not show me any online or in store samples The woman at the reception was quite uninterested, and I left with nothing. I won't go back there. This store lost a customer for 300-500 dollars due to its disinterest. It's interesting that in another optician they told me everything, showed me the lenses and helped me choose everything, it was clear that they sincerely want my order to suit me. “I have been a loyal and long term customer for years spending thousands of $ purchasing eyewear for my family at this establishment. However, I can no longer support a business that refuses to stand by their products. When I dropped by the other day to show them my frames that had broken, they refused to replace them, repair them or offer any other solution other than forking out hundreds of dollars on a new set of frames. Further to that, when I requested an eye appointment recently to have my eyes checked, I was unable to arrange an appointment because there was no optometrist available, so I was put on the list to be contacted, which never happened. Consequently, I had to go elsewhere to get my eyes checked. Very poor customer service as far as I am concerned. Clearly this is reflected by the poor management of this operation. And based on the high turnover of staff that I see there, it is indicative of the state of affairs there. I was able to get my frames repaired at another establishment though- and that is where I will be taking my business moving forward. I will never go to Visions Optical again, especially when there are many other choices available. Very disappointed.”Read moreShow less

“Find another store for your glasses. Poor warranty service, customer service. I spent about 500 dollars for my safety glasses last year. Two months after I bought them I had stress cracks in the lens, I was able to get the lenses replaced (that time) Fast forward a few months later cracks appear in the same locations. I’m told by the manager these cracks not stress cracks and that I was rough with my $500 glasses. Summary, I’m out a $500 with broken lenses in my safety glasses because of manufacturing issues that are Gisele, the manager will not pursue leaving me with broken glasses. “I went to visions based on a recommendation by a co-worker. I was greeted by Giselle. wow is she impressive at multi-tasking. The Optometrist was professional and thorough. She answered all of my questions and went over everything. As I mentioned before Giselle was hands down great. her customer service is top notch. you can tell that she cares about everyone that comes in. she helped me pick out 2 pairs of frames. I left it up to her capable hands to find me the right frames and style I was looking for. after, I was helped by another co-worker who was just as amazing and helpful. “I wrote a review yesterday and can’t find it now… so here we go again! I had the most wonderful experience purchasing my glasses at Visions Chilliwack today. Mai is a star. She knew her inventory so well and she listened to what I wanted then found the perfect pair for me. Additionally, I found the rest of the staff knowledgeable, warm and friendly. Most personally, my 6 year old autistic son was with me and they were very patient, caring and almost loving toward him as I struggled to keep him entertained while I shopped.
