We would consider a visit an "initial assessment" if any of the following apply:
1) You are a new patient and it is your first appointment at our clinic.
2) You have been to the clinic before but would like a new or different injury/condition assessed that you have not had treated at the clinic before.
3) You have been to the clinic before and are having the same injury/condition treated but there has been a gap of more than one month since your last visit.

What it is
Most of the visit is you explaining what’s been going on while the physiotherapist watches how you move, checks range, strength and specific tests, then gives hands-on treatment if it fits and a clear exercise or self-management plan to take away.
