I've been working with John Zahab for a number of years and been very satisfied with the results. As a multi-sport 2x Olympian, being functional and injury free were my number one goals while continually building strength. John always went to extra mile to accommodate my training/travel schedule and collaborate with my sport-specific coaches. His attention to detail and forward thinking was instrumental to my success and evident in the many programs he designed for me as an athlete. When I arrived at Continuum Fitness, I had extreme pain in my left shoulder, with nerve damage on top of that, from a procedure I had done. Jay Ankersmit brought me back to full mobility. I can't say enough good things about Jay. He is very knowledgeable and detailed in his therapy work. Now that I have power back in my shoulder and arm, I am working on rebuilding the muscle back to where it use to be under the guidance of Sarah. Sarah is in-tune on how to re-build my shoulder from the ground up. She has found the muscles that were not firing [working] and I am in the process of making what I feel is a full recovery. Without Jay and Sarah in my corner, I would be in a very different situation. The fact that they work together is Paramount, finding what works and what doesn't is the key to any recovery and they are there to make sure it happens. I have seen countless therapists in Ottawa for over 10 years with this problem, without success, always trying to find someone who actually knows what they're doing. Continuum Fitness & Movement comes with knowledgeable and passionate staff including co-owners Sarah and John. I've worked with both Sarah and John who have taught me core and stability exercises that have allowed me to train for long distance races.
