Effective March 9, 2026 we will be able to accept and direct bill for ICBC claims. For new ICBC injuries, a client is pre-approved within the first 12 weeks after a motor vehicle incident for up to 25 physiotherapy sessions in that time-frame. Anything outside of the 12 week period will require prior approval to ensure coverage.
If you are a current client, and have a claim with ICBC, please discuss with the office and we can arrange direct billing for you.

Janine has been amazing! I've been seeing her for about 3 months and every visit is excellent. She definitely knows her stuff and what amazes me is the stretches she does...you don't feel it..it's so gentle...and slowly consistent. Injury and being injured, especially when you have never almost been at pain is impossible to handle fearing who would help. Very fortunately somehow God paved my ways towards Island hand therapy clinic and least to mention, as if I just landed in front of God. Scare and fear of a non functional hand if it ever happens ,that's how an innocent person who hasn't even started living life at 41, would feel. I am so thankful to Dr. Kristen McDonald for using all the equipment for different kind of pressures on hand to judge the real place of injury and pain. Measuring on scales to see what and how is required. And that the specialists like herself would know more. Extra time on x-ray plastic surgeons MRI etc almost had me stranded thinking when and how the reports would collectively be. My extreme fear of seeing my hand dangling and hanging off of my arm and swinging around was enough for me, to feel safe the moment I was at the doors of the Island hand therapy clinic at Wilson. Increasing blood flow and circulation towards the epicentre of injury indeed made difference. And checking on the overall disrespect the arm went through while working as a mover/helper/Labour literally made me feel that it isn't a nature of work I should be in moving people's belongings/craps etc and that if there is heavy industrial fridges or machines that are handled a person shouldn't bet their life to hang onto saving.maybe cos this happened. At the very best the doctor and the clinic didn't let me be on my own to let it heal and to go through the stress and depression that it could build. Specifically I got taken care of at all levels almost. Il be more thankful to the doctor and the clinic if they could cure it in its totality and that means after bracing, equipment use,different tools used to minutely find the epicentre of awful pain where I didn't even know how to yell or shout out of pain,if they can at all settle the round bone thing on the wrist joint to its original place size and location in the wrist that would be marvellous and I think they are well capable of that too. It has well healed with the bracing support provided from the clinic and with extra caution with the bandages . Let the time reflect if it is going to leave a momento for life for touching people's garbage ,move it to trucks and to transfer all to their destinations for earnings to survive provided what British Columbia could offer as a work opportunity to a young dude to become 41. Kudos to the doctors and the clinic that they just simply started their processes as quickly and fastly as they could. Thank you ,God Bless.Lire la suiteRéduire

everyone at this office has been so kind and helpful with my wrist injury, i see janine and she’s amazing!! super knowledgeable and seeing her consistently had made a difference. i highly recommend this office :)

I visited the Island Hand clinic on Wilson street today. My appointment was with Lana Speirs. Lana provided me with the precise and professional advice and information for my hand/wrist injury. She made me a orthodosis/splint which is very useful and comfortable.
