“Sherri Iwaschuk is an excellent practitioner. She is knowledgeable, thorough and has really helped my pain already. I feel fortunate she is on the Coast.”

“A horrible experience. I have a rare case of adapted mechanics to a cranial cervical injury I sustained as a child. A well-meaning but ignorant PT taught me to destroy these adapted mechanics that allowed me to be physically high-functioning, and left me in the worst state of my life—almost unable to drink or eat because I would choke from throat tension, and bedridden and on dilaudid day and night for pain. I managed to retrain myself out of this over time, but am now anything but high-functioning, and able to only do the basics, such as eating, drinking and staying upright and walking around. Though better, this new compensation mechanism is harming the very structures it is supposed to protect. (The neck.) So, I have decided to try to retrain to the way I was before seeing that PT all those years ago. I only had some bearable headaches, but, as a young teen, I didn't know the danger she would put me in and how totally unnecessary it all was. I was a good student in piano and classical singing with big chances ahead of me. I also played several other instruments and drew. I reached out to Sherri, to see if she could help me retrain back to my original, natural compensation mechanism that allowed me to do what I love and have not been able to do for so long. Well the song and dance she led me. She replied on a Sunday evening, the day I wrote, and asked what instrument I played, and said she is a drummer. She said, most importantly, in regards to helping me in this unusual manner (since it isn't regular therapy; and that is why I have had NO luck finding anyone else closer to where I live to do this, and the therapists all have their personal preferances) "Whats most important to me is what’s important to you." She seemed to be the dream come true. She seemed to UNDERSTAND better than almost anyone I have ever met who hasn't lived through the type of thing I am, AND be willing to help. I wrote back and just gave her the whole story, start to finish. She asked if I lived on the Coast. I said no, but I am willing to travel and have family there. She said she would try to find someone in Eastern Canada, where I am. And that was it. Obviously, I had already looked where I live! And I found no one. Apparantly, neither did she. I said I was willing to travel, and I have family to stay with; and SHE decided, unilaterally, that, not only would she no longer see me—though it would mean I could very possibly get my whole life back for a few stinking trips; and she had AGREED she could see me virtually after the initial in-person consult, if we thought that would be good at the time—I was also unworthy of a response!! I emailed her again and again, just asking for her to let me know if she had dropped me, instead of ghosting me. She is cruel. That was unnecessary. It would take 20 seconds to just write that she didn't want to take me on and to have a good one. Instead, she makes me sit and wonder and worry, and only with the passage of a good amount of time do I realize she didn't just catch a flu or have some unexpected event that kept her from replying; but rather is just unprofessional and the type of person who leaves you hanging when they have changed thier mind about whether or not they like you or want to work with you or both. I have no other explanation. I am appaled. She doesn't need to like me or take me on, but the least she could do is ANSWER. Take care, she seems nice at first, but she could dump you, or decide, though it is NONE OF HER BUSINESS AS LONG AS YOU MAKE YOUR APPOINTMENTS, that your travel plans are HER PRIORITY and that she will decide whether or not you can pay her for treatment and do your therapy based on whether or not SHE, personally, would travel for therapy. RUDE. MEAN. UNPROFESSIONAL. UNRELIABLE. LOTS OF NICE WORDS TILL YOU GET NONE. In reply to Sherri's rather prompt reply to my review, I say, "how convenient" that as soon as I post a NEGATIVE review, she suddenly remembers me and finds a minute to write. Maybe her reason's true, but forgive me for not falling for it hook, line and sinker.”Lire la suiteRéduire
