In their own words
For Denise Johnson, massage therapy isn't just about working out knots — it's about restoring balance across mind, body, and spirit. She's been living out that philosophy since 2006, when she completed her massage diploma at Everest College (formerly CDI), followed by an advanced diploma from Centennial College in 2008.
Over the years, Denise has built a practice defined by range: she's brought comfort and relief to terminally ill patients, supported pregnant women through every stage of their journey, and worked gently with infants. What ties it all together is her commitment to client education — she doesn't just treat you and send you on your way; she makes sure you understand why after-care matters and how to keep feeling good long after you leave the table.
At the core of her practice is Swedish massage, delivered with a therapist's eye for assessment. Denise draws from a diverse toolkit — joint play, advanced myofascial release, and more — to target the root of discomfort, not just the symptoms. Whether you're recovering from an injury, drowning in work-related tension, managing chronic pain, or simply craving deep relaxation, she tailors her approach to what your body actually needs. Lately, she's been diving into the world of essential oils, exploring how they can support treatment for everything from stress and migraines to allergies and everyday aches.
And she's not slowing down. Denise is constantly adding to her repertoire — currently expanding her skills in Thai massage, Shiatsu, reflexology, hot & cold stone therapy, and specialized treatment for TMJ (jaw) dysfunction.
Beyond the treatment room, Denise is a mom of three. That experience gives her a rare, firsthand understanding of what pregnancy, labour, delivery, and postpartum recovery actually feel like — knowledge that makes her pre- and post-natal clients feel truly seen and understood.
