Dr. Wensman was born and raised in Labrador City. She moved away to Ontario after high school to attend the University of Waterloo. There she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree, graduating with Dean’s Honours. During her time at the University, she was able to take part in an impactful optometry mission trip to Haiti where she provided eye care to underserved communities, further strengthening her passion for helping others see clearly. Following graduation, Dr. Wensman gained valuable experience while practicing in Bay Roberts for three years, where she developed a strong foundation in comprehensive eye care. Now based in St. John's, she is committed to providing her patients with the highest standard of eye health services. She has a special interest in ocular disease and strongly believes in patient-centered care. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Wensman enjoys reading, traveling, playing basketball, crocheting, and spending quality time with her husband and their two dogs.
