Dans ses motsDr. Cortni Schmidt follows the philosophy that health is a mind, body and spirit system
and understands the importance of an adaptive and resilient nervous system.
Her care is
focused on addressing and correcting nervous system interference and biomechanics and
educating and supporting women and families to be able take health back into their own
hands.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta, Dr. C
moved to Portland, Oregon and completed her Doctorate of Chiropractic and a Bachelor
of Science degree in Human Sciences from The University of Western States in 2011.
After over 11 years practicing in downtown Edmonton and owning and operating her
own clinic, she took some time to focus on starting her family.
Dr. C has countless hours in extended training, including: Webster Technique (specific
for pregnancy), Birthfit pregnancy & post-partum re-hab, Postural Evaluation, TMJ and
cranial assessmentand Polyvagal Theory (nervous system regulation with emphasis on
the Vagus Nerve).
She takes great pride in being able to facilitate others in practicing a more holistic
lifestyle and restoring proper nervous system communication to be better able to adapt to
the many stressors of daily life and create a life that thrives!
In her downtime, Dr. C can be found researching and learning about anything and
everything related to holistic healthcare and living and spending time with her 2 energetic
and imaginative tiny humans and golden retriever, Bear. She loves being outside with
them and staying active whenever possible.
