Dr. Morgyn Olmstead
À propos de Morgyn
Dans ses motsDr. Morgyn Olmstead received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto. While completing her studies, she also worked as a Physiotherapist’s Assistant, gaining hands-on experience in rehabilitation-based care. Prior to moving to Toronto, Morgyn studied Kinesiology at the University of Saskatchewan, where she also competed as an 800-metre track athlete.
Morgyn’s chiropractic approach is strongly informed by her background in physiotherapy-style rehabilitation and massage therapy. Her treatments commonly include deep soft-tissue therapy, muscle release techniques, targeted exercise prescription, and manual spinal manipulation, tailored to each patient’s presentation.
She takes a human-centred, collaborative approach to care, integrating each patient’s goals, expectations, and lived experiences. Morgyn aims for every patient to feel heard, understood, educated about their body, and empowered to move confidently and manage symptoms between visits.
Morgyn has a special interest in treating headaches, jaw pain, neck pain, low back pain, hip pain, and performing walking and running assessments. She is certified in Functional Gait Assessment Level 1, allowing her to assess gait patterns and body mechanics with a clinical, movement-focused lens.
Dr, Morgyn Olmstead is also a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) whose approach is highly therapeutic and clinically focused, drawing from her background in kinesiology, physiotherapy-based rehabilitation, and chiropractic training.
In her massage therapy practice, Morgyn primarily works with patients experiencing chronic pain, headaches, and temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ/TMD). Assessments and treatments are performed fully clothed, on a physiotherapy/chiropractic table, with no oil. Her treatments may include deep soft-tissue techniques, targeted muscle release, intra- and extra-oral TMJ massage, nervous system regulation strategies, corrective exercises, and postural support.
