About Veronica
Welcome! My name is Veronica and I am a Licensed Psychologist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (Formerly, College of Psychologists of British Columbia). I work directly with individuals experiencing a range of diverse issues, including anxiety, anxiety-related disorders, depression, trauma, identity concerns, and sexuality-based issues.
Most commonly, I witness many individuals feeling pain and suffering alone. Intimacy and sexuality can be difficult to discuss and can impact our mental health and well-being. My training and experience allows me to support you in exploring sexuality, intimacy, and gender identity. Issues that we can work through together, include sexual anxiety, shame and guilt, desire, sexual compulsivity, loneliness, infidelity, and dating challenges. My approach is open, non-judgemental, and I support clients of all genders and identities.
I grew up in a multicultural environment where I learned to understand individual diversity and its impact on our identities. I primarily draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Mindfulness-based approaches to work collaboratively with you in your therapeutic journey. I hope to work alongside you to support you in better understanding yourself and your mental wellness.
In addition to supporting clients, I am also an adjunct faculty member at Adler University.
