À propos de Heather
Dans ses motsPlease Note: Heather schedules a free 15 minute consultation before your first appointment.
Heather is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with a Master’s degree in Counselling, as
well as undergraduate degrees in Child and Youth Care and Education.
Her career began on Vancouver Island as a youth outreach counsellor, supporting
disenfranchised youth facing challenges such as addictions, housing and food
insecurity, and family conflict. She later transitioned into school-based counselling,
where she has spent many years working with children, youth, and families in both
Saskatchewan and British Columbia.
With over 24 years of experience in the Mental Health field, Heather is committed to
building strong, trusting relationships with her clients. She works from a strength-based,
collaborative approach, believing deeply in each person’s capacity for resilience and
growth. Heather draws from therapeutic approaches that include acceptance and
commitment therapy, mindfulness, person-centered, and solution focused. She works
with challenges like depression, stress, anxiety, perfectionism, grief and loss, and
relationship struggles. She has a passion for supporting youth and young adults,
women struggling with post-partum, fertility complexities, and those who are
transitioning in perimenopause and menopause and other life changes.
Heather feels profound gratitude when clients feel safe enough to share their stories
and allow her to walk alongside them on their journey toward mental wellness. She
approaches her work with compassion and curiosity. While life can be challenging,
Heather hopes to offer support, encouragement, and a gentle light on the strengths and
“sparkle moments” that exist within each of us. You will be greeted with warmth, respect
and compassion.
