Margarita is a Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Yoga Instruction and a Thai Massage Practitioner. She has over 9 years of experience as a Yoga Teacher and 5 years as a Thai Massage Practitioner. Margarita finished her Registered Massage Therapy program in August 2020, graduating with honours from Kikkawa College. Margarita pairs her educational experience and her background in movement to help patients move freely and relieve pain. She has also compled the Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program at McMaster University and she believes that acupuncture is a great complementary tool to help patients with muscular skeletal dysfunctions by targeting the nervous system and providing a more complete therapeutic treatment.
Margarita’s passion for sports started at a young age growing up in Colombia, she competed for over 10 years in Equestrian jumping. This opportunity allowed her to compete at both the national and international level representing Colombia as an amateur equestrian rider. Margarita enjoys running, yoga and kettlebell training and is eager to expand her knowledge as a sports massage therapist and work with sports injuries and rehabilitation.
