Melanie’s interest in massage therapy began in 1995 while she was doing administrative duties in a massage therapy practice while attending college in Montreal. She decided this was the path for her and moved back to Nova Scotia where she grew up to complete the Massage therapy diploma program. Melanie graduated from ICT Northumberland College in 2000 and is a member of the Massage Therapists Association of Nova Scotia. She went on to complete the CMTO board exams in Toronto upon graduation. She has been practicing Massage Therapy ever since. She has worked with physiotherapists, chiropractors and operated a home-based massage therapy clinic. She joined St. Margaret’s Bay Massage Therapy in 2017 and really enjoys working with the team of exceptional therapists at this clinic. During her long career as a massage therapist she has seen and treated many musculoskeletal conditions. Her treatments are enhanced by the additional courses she has completed in Cranial Sacral therapy, Reflexology, cupping and in chronic pain management. Her treatments accomodate the goals of the client. Client comfort is her top priority.
