Salma graduated with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University after completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at McGill University.
Before pursuing physiotherapy, she worked as a Vision Therapist in BC, where she supported diverse patient populations including individuals recovering from concussions, athletes seeking to enhance performance, and those living with visual dysfunction. This experience gave her a unique perspective on the connection between the visual and musculoskeletal systems and continues to shape her comprehensive approach to rehabilitation.
Through her clinical training, Salma gained experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, which helped her build a strong foundation in assessment and treatment. She is committed to providing personalized, evidence-based care that integrates exercise prescription, manual therapy, and education to support recovery, prevent re-injury, and optimize performance.
Dedicated to lifelong learning, Salma is pursuing further professional development, including certification in acupuncture and advanced training in concussion management.
Outside the clinic, you can find Salma running along Toronto's waterfront, playing volleyball in a local rec league, or enjoying any activity that gets her outdoors and moving.
