À propos de Sheryl
Dans ses motsWith over 25 years of experience in massage and manual therapy, Sheryl is passionate about helping clients move better, recover from injuries, and manage pain. Since becoming a registered massage therapist in 1997, she has dedicated her career to understanding the intricate connection between alignment, posture, and movement. Her approach combines a mathematical and biomechanical understanding of posture and movement with a wide range of assessment and treatment techniques, helping clients address the root causes of stiffness and pain. Whether working with high-performance athletes, individuals recovering from trauma, or those struggling with chronic tension, she is committed to helping every client achieve pain-free movement and lasting relief.
Sheryl’s advanced training in manual therapy includes cranial-facial and spinal trauma & tension , foot mechanics, and injury recovery, with a particular focus on the pelvis and thoracic regions—an area of deep personal significance. Having survived a sudden cardiac arrest, spending 10 minutes without a heartbeat and undergoing open-heart surgery, she brings a profound understanding of recovery, resilience, and the body’s ability to heal. Her journey has shaped her approach to manual therapy, emphasizing not just structural balance but also the deep connection between trauma, movement, and overall well-being.
Beyond corrective work, Sheryl offers therapeutic treatments such as hot stone massage, bamboo fusion, Indian head massage, lymphatic treatments, and prenatal massage using a specialized pregnancy massage table. She also incorporates advanced modalities like Dolphin MPS (Microcurrent Point Stimulation) and Shockwave Therapy to support healing and overall well-being.
As the co-author of The Align’d Approach, Sheryl is a dedicated educator, teaching courses in manual therapy to other therapists. The Align’d Approach to Manual Therapy integrates a deep understanding of biomechanics with precise hands-on methods to restore function and mobility. Learn more at bealignd.com.
Sheryl Gill’s kindness, enthusiasm, and deep passion for helping others shine through in everything she does. Her clients are drawn not just to her warmth, but to the way she makes complex concepts easy to understand, empowering them with knowledge about their own bodies. Her own journey through recovery has given her a unique perspective on resilience and healing. As featured in Canadian Running (April 16, 2012): “Sheryl Gill went into cardiac arrest while on a run in California. Diligent work from bystanders and professionals saved Gill’s life. Later, doctors told her she had a congenital heart defect. After several bouts of surgeries and slow and painful rehab, Gill has returned to her normal active and exuberant self. She talks to people about her experience and the need to listen to your body when doing activities such as running to ensure you’re not blindsided the way that she was.”
