Life can be overwhelming at times, and it’s okay to seek support. My goal is to help you navigate your challenges with empathy, understanding, and a focus on what matters most to you. Together, we’ll explore your experiences and work collaboratively to help you move forward.
I came to counseling after a scientific and academic career studying topics like family relationships, resilience, and how people cope with stress and adversity. This perspective complements my counselling training and informs my approach to helping clients manage challenges like relational problems, anxiety, stress, and life transitions.
I believe mental health is about more than just thoughts and emotions—it’s about how we interact with and are affected by the world around us. I take an evidence-informed trauma-informed approach that considers the whole person. I have an integrated technique that is informed by person-centered therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, CBT, mindfulness, narrative and solution-focused practices. I have completed Level 2 Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy and have recently built upon continuous education with focused interests around trauma and relationship challenges (affairs, explosive couples, ethical non-monogamy). Above all, I value building a therapeutic partnership where you feel heard, supported, and empowered.
When I’m not working, I enjoy painting, hiking, and learning new ways to support mental health and wellbeing. In addition to my clinical training, I enjoy creating educational and informative wellness content in the form of written articles, podcast episodes, and other audio and video content. My goal is to share evidence-based insights to help people better understand mental health and wellness.
If you’re ready to take the first step, I’d be honored to support you on your journey.
