About Abigail
I am dedicated to supporting individuals as they navigate through life’s complexities. I partner with my clients to foster healing, personal growth, and an enhanced sense of well-being. My practice is built on the foundation of collaboration, compassion, and tailored therapeutic interventions designed to meet the unique needs of each person I have the privilege of working with.
I work with children (ages 3+), adolescents, and adults. Understanding that every individual's journey is unique, I integrate a variety of evidence-based practices to address a range of concerns, such as anxiety, stress, self-esteem issues, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief, and loss. I utilize third-wave cognitive behavioural therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness practices, and hypnosis. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Family Therapy, recognizing the profound impact of familial relationships on one's mental health.
About Me:
My path to becoming a mental health professional is uniquely intertwined with my passion for the arts. With a prior degree in Fine Arts, I explored themes of grief, loss, and how emotions may be physically represented. I am deeply interested in the symbolic ways that we express what it means to be human, and I maintain my appreciation for the arts to this day. I also love being outdoors and moving as much as possible. Outside the therapy room, you might find me running in the river valley, rock climbing, hiking, and swimming.
