About Aidan
#Pilates, Personal Trainer, and Movement Specialist
Hi! I’m Aidan! It is a pleasure to meet you.
I am a Level 3 Body Harmonics® Contemporary Pilates instructor. I teach Reformer, Mat, and Apparatus Pilates within the Eve Gentry lineage.
I am also a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology (CSEP) and draw from a body of evidence-based functional training and modern exercise science to provide a spine-safe, individualised, and holistic experience.
#Who I Work With
I have experience working with a diverse range of clients:
- People who have not been in regular structured exercise classes before, or are wanting to get back into fitness.
- People who want an individualised approach to exercise outside of a gym-based setting.
- Those who are already Pilates students, or who come from other sports, athletic, or artistic movement backgrounds and want to deepen their practice.
- People who have been referred to Pilates through their doctors or physiotherapists.
I wish to make this a space where everybody is welcome, and strive to create an environment of mutual trust and understanding. I do ask that you let me know if you have any questions, thoughts, or concerns so that I can learn how best to support you through your movement journey.
#What We Will Do Together
Our bodies are made to move. The more options your spine, hips, and shoulders have when moving around the world, the more you will be able to keep doing the things that are important to you throughout all aspects of life. We will work collaboratively to build a toolbox of options for strong and successful movement.
- We will begin with a comprehensive assessment of your goals, expectations, health and movement history.
- We will work together to construct an exercise plan that helps you meet your goals.
- Sessions will be tailored to where you are at on the day – energy levels, health conditions, etc. – so that you can leave feeling strong and successful each and every time.
Over time, you may notice improvements to strength, balance, and flexibility as we work together. Whether you add muscle bulk depends on your diet, genetics and the way we train.
It may take several weeks to begin to remodel according to the demands of an exercise, so repetition is our friend here. We will initially focus on building familiarity and confidence, adding progressions over time to allow your body get stronger according to principles of progressive overload and specific adaptation to imposed demand.
Importantly, my philosophy means meeting you where you are at every session and using a combination of exercises designed to build strength, flexibility, and resilient, dynamic posture.

#Important Information
To guarantee your place in my schedule, I do ask for understanding of at least 24 hours of cancellation notice. Any cancellations made within 24 hours of a pre-booked appointment will be billed at full rate.
I also do ask that you cancel in the event of illness, acute pain flare, or musculoskeletal injury. In the event that you are not feeling well before sessions, I would rather you prioritize rest and healing until you are ready to return to movement.
The same is true with any changes to long-term health status. As a Personal Trainer, I am required to ask you to notify your doctor of any changes to health status. It is within my scope to work according to your primary healthcare provider's recommendations of specific movements to train, modify, or avoid.
