Alex is a Registered Clinical Counsellor who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges with empathy and understanding. Alex’s approach is client-centered, collaborative, and grounded in fostering trust and empowerment through the therapeutic process. His goal is to meet clients where they are and work together to cultivate a sense of purposeful calm and hopeful emotional flexibility in their lives. Alex’s practice is rooted in trauma-informed and anti-oppressive thinking and follows the philosophy of holism, which, to him, means seeing people in their entirety—as unique and complex beings who exist within specific contexts. Whether clients are seeking support during a crisis or wish to explore and unpack the events of their lives, Alex is excited to join them on their therapeutic journey. His approach integrates techniques from several therapeutic modalities and focuses on the cognitive, emotional, and physical aspects of clients’ lived experiences. Operating from a place of genuine curiosity, Alex aims to explore clients’ lives in a welcoming and non-judgmental environment. He believes that a strong therapeutic alliance, combined with a sense of humour, can help clients reach a place of comfort while honouring where they have been and supporting their progress toward where they want to go.
