Inspirational Quote: “Choose, everyday to forgive yourself. You are human, flawed, and most of all worthy of love.” – Alison Malee How do you believe counselling can help? Therapy is a collaborative process where both the therapist and client work together. In creating a therapeutic connection, individuals can feel heard and seen at their deepest levels. Through this, we can build on your unique strengths and cultivate hope and growth. I truly believe that change best occurs through positive human connection. Your Approach to Counselling: I strive to create a compassionate, dignified, and safe environment where clients can explore difficult experiences without judgment. My work is grounded in attachment theory and informed by emotionally-focused, existential, feminist, and liberation-oriented perspectives. In couples counselling, I help partners understand the patterns that keep them stuck, strengthen emotional connection, and develop healthier ways of communicating and responding to one another. I am particularly passionate about working with couples navigating conflict, parenting challenges, trauma, and life transitions. As part of my ongoing professional development, I receive specialized supervision in couples counselling to further strengthen my relationship-focused work. In my work with individuals, I support clients experiencing anxiety, OCD, identity transitions, and spiritual deconstruction or reconstruction. Together, we work toward greater flexibility, self-understanding, and alignment with what matters most to you. My professional training includes Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy (Advanced Core Skills & Ongoing Supervision), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Levels 1 & 2), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and specialized training in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP).
