Alyssa Taylor
About Alyssa
Their own wordsMy name is Alyssa Taylor and I have been working as a Registered Dietitian for over 5 years. I have worked in a variety of settings including long-term care, primary care, acute care and public health. I completed a Bachelor of Science in Foods and Nutrition with an Honors Specialization in Nutrition and Dietetics through Brescia University College (at Western University) and completed my dietetic internship with Hamilton Health Sciences. Upon successful completion of my internship, I became registered with the College of Dietitians of Ontario and passed the Canadian Dietetic Registration Examination. Since then, I have obtained a Master of Science in Aging and Health at Queen’s University.
I practice dietetics through an evidence-based, patient-centred, weight neutral, non-diet approach. My practice is weight inclusive and aligned with health at every size. I encourage health promoting habits that are meaningful to patients and clients, promote a peaceful relationship with food, and do not use weight as a measure of health. I am passionate about helping people improve their relationship with their body as well as implementing gentle nutrition strategies that are realistic and practical.
