Amanda Guthrie
About Amanda
Their own wordsAmanda Guthrie practices with a patient-focused approach where listening to and understanding her patients are her top priorities.
As a registered psychotherapist, she has extensive training in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and offers practical and goal-oriented therapy. Rather than simply talk about your problems, she will listen, reflect and then help you implement solutions to problems or to make changes in your thinking patterns and actions.
In addition to seeing individual patients in clinic, she is a faculty member at The Centre for Mindfulness Studies in Toronto, where she facilitates MBCT and CBT groups for people with depression and anxiety disorders.

“A shorter, focused session to check in on your progress and make adjustments as needed. We’ll review your experiences since the last session, talk through any concerns, and refine tools to support your goals. This session is ideal for a brief check-in, while the 50-minute session is the standard for more comprehensive follow-up.”3 optionsMindfulness for Perimenopause - group session
